Pediatric Trauma Update
This intensive seminar has been designed to offer the attendee an intermediate level review of "real life" assessment and management principles of pediatric patients with traumatic emergencies. Program will cover current as well as future treatment methodologies of "tiny traumas" in the EMS and medical center settings. Topics for review will include pediatric advanced airway management, head and spinal cord trauma, chest and abdominal trauma, burns, extremity trauma, and pain management. This seminar is especially designed for paramedics, emergency nurses, pediatric nurses, critical care nurses, and respiratory therapists.
1) Gain a better understanding of the pathophysiology associated with various pediatric traumatic emergencies.
2) Learn current research findings in regards to the assessment and management of selected pediatric traumatic emergencies.
3) Be able to discuss and appropriately care for case study patients, incorporating information on assessment and management.
