Dan Carlascio began serving the needs of the emergency medical services community in 1979. After working as an advanced paramedic with an EMS helicopter based in Kankakee, Illinois for many years, Dan was later chosen to become one of the five original flight medics at Loyola University Medical Center's LIFESTAR helicopter service. After leaving LIFESTAR in 1998. Dan become the EMS Educator for Loyola University's EMS System.
In 2005, Dan took on a role as a cardiovascular EMS clinical specialist / product specialist for Philips Healthcare N.A. (Amsterdam) and moved into account managers role in 2010. Dan continues to share his passion for education on a regular basis with his fun approach to teaching and engages his students in a completely unique way. Lastly, Dan continues his dedication to emergency medical education with his active involvement with the National Association of EMS Educators.
